Hi there. I don't think I've ever commented here, but I should have. I mean, when you get to the point where you check regularly for an update and cheer when there is one: well, it's time to comment, right? :-)

I really love this universe you've created. All of the characters seem very real to themselves, despite the changes, and the relationship between Jayne and Birdy is delightful while also kind of...I don't know, wistful and weird and wonderful. The backstory on River is very believable, and I can see this happening as a result of what happened to them.

Even when I'm annoyed with Simon, I think you've got him right on. Love the way you've captured Mal's voice. But let's face it, the glory of this story is Birdy and Jayne, and I'm thrilled and fangirly when you update. Thanks so much for such a great read, and I do hope Birdy and Jayne can entice you to write soon!
