If you *do* end up watching the anime, do try to avoid the dubs. The American networks utterly slaughtered the series (the pretty gay villain in the first series? a woman. the lesbians in the later series? cousins.)

Actually, I'm a bit shocked that you haven't already seen the Sailor Moon anime. I thought *every* North American girl had seen at least a few episodes!

I used to watch Sailor Moon every day after I got home from school. I loved the transformations, the the magical attacks, and I thought there was one of the most tragic love stories EVER!

I really, really want to rewatch the entire anime (I never did see it through to the end), but the fandom is huge and kind of scary.

For me, it was Power Rangers, the original series. I loved the Rangers and their friendship, and Tommy! And Tommy and Kimberly! and i will FREELY admit to seeing the Power Rangers movie and wishing I owned it. Adam's "I'm a frog" will not ever stop being funny.

Heh. I used to tape Power Rangers (Pink Rager episodes were my favourite!) and sing along with the opening theme so loud the next door neighbours could hear. If they had the first season on DVD, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

episodes 1 through 31 are up at i♥. i'm going to start downloading right after i finish off "the rose" and the sailor moon anime. . . and maybe some of the zillion other things i've been wanting to watch.
