i dont see it as sad. i see it as being a different kind of love. its not conventional, but it works for them. They like each other, surely, and, although i LOVELOVELOVE Rayne fics where Jayne is head over heels, it doesnt always seem to be in character for him. i wanted to explore a different side of that.
but, i can easily see how someone who doesnt live in my head would see it as sad. :)
