Sep. 2nd, 2010 06:31 amWe got the word that there is a mandatory evacuation of the island I live on (THANKS EARL, JUST WHAT I WANTED), so the fam and I are packing up and heading to town.
I still have to work today, as my school isn't closed (I don't get it either), and it's only my second day with kids and I don't have a regular assistant yet, so I can't call in), but daycare is closed, so Brandus has called in and will be doing most of the heavy lifting to get kiddo ready.
Anyway, we'll be in a hotel with internet unless the storm knocks it out. I'll check in when I can - probably tonight to say that nothing is happening and why can't I be home in my OWN bed and why is school still in session, dammit.
