ok, so, has everyone heard about [livejournal.com profile] thebookyoucrew?

you post your favorite 20 books of all time, and then they tell you how shallow you are and how much you suck. and really, i have no idea so far how they determine who is cool enough to become part of the crew.

it cracks me up. it is SO funny to read these lists and the snarky comments that follow.

so, because there is no way i would post my list over there, as i read mainly fantasy, insane fiction, and really weird stuff, i figure i can post my 10 (cause i cant come up with 20 right now, im posting illegally at work) over here, and *you* can tell me how much i suck! or how "high school" my tastes are, or whatever.

hee, im starting a meme, i feel so cool!

1.Farenheit 451 - Ray Bradbury (and i read it way before high school, thanks)
2.Alex, The Life of a Child - Frank Deford (another read when i was very young)
3.Towards Amnesia - Sarah Van Arsdale
4.The Finover Tapestry - Guy Gavrial Kay
5.Outsiders - S.E. Hinton
6.The Giver - Lois Lowry
7.My Sister's Keeper - Jodi Picoult
8.Rilla of Ingleside - L.M Montgomery
9.Cheaper by the Dozen - Frank and Ernestine Gibreth (no, not the movie. ew.)
10.Writing Down the Bones - Natalie Goldberg

so? agree? disagree? never heard of? post your own list, iffen you want. i love to see what people read.

EDIT: I just got my copy of Harry Potter in French. WHEE!

Oh my god. I used to love this book when I was in fifth grade. I kept borrowing it from the school library every few weeks--I was a weird child.

Oh my... I love Alex, the Life of a Child. It was one of the first 'adult' books I read, at a mere six years old.

Yes, I was a prodigy back then. *grins*
