Do the Peter Panda Dance!

*happy wiggles* i have had a very busy, very happy weekend!

Friday, i took ALL DAY off from work, and then we did The Vagina Monologues, which went FABULOUSLY.

And on Saturday! I slept in, then caught up on all of the livejournal-ness that i had missed from not being able to read it ALL DAY, and then i decided i needed to see Constantine again, so brandus and i went. And there will be fic! oh yes! i have a deep abiding love for this movie, regardless of large plot holes and unexplained phenomenom. *snuggles Gabriel* and this time, i actually stayed until after the credits, so i saw the scene i missed the first time.

and now i have yet more questions about the plot. grr.

And then! Still on Saturday, I went to see my high school's production of "Aida," which was corny and extremely affecting all at the same time. Although the boy who played Radames was much taller than Aida, so for the duets, he spent a lot of time crouched over funny. and Merrib was so in love with Radames. Really, it should be wrong of me to slash the high school productions, but last year in Les Mis, they had Marius and Enjolras holding hands on stage and marching together during "One Day More," so this is so not my fault.

Anyway, during "Aida" and concerning Merrib's slashly love for Radames..they staged the song "Not Me" with Ramadas and Merrib standing next to each other, and Aida and Amneris standing next to each other. now, in the Broadway show, this might work. In high school, it turns out that Radames might be singing about being in love with Aida, and Merrib singing about being in love with Radames.

Now that im checking the amazon page..is Merrib even supposed to be singing in Not Me? And how the hell do you spell his name? the official Disney page sucks, by the way.

OK! So as slashy as it was, and as much as i had to stifle my giggles at the cornyness (was sitting beside a very proud mother of one of the dancers), it was very affecting and very well done. for a high school show.

Then! We get to SUNDAY! Now, normally, i do not enjoy Sundays, as i am anticipating the return of Monday, and that makes me panic and not sleep well.

However, got to sleep in this morning with Brandus, which was snuggley and good. then he cooked breakfast, we grabbed our stuff, and headed down to Denver to get sirkpega and go see The Pacifier!

See, Krispy made me promise to see it first with her, as we are both very heavily in lust with the Vin, but Brandus wanted to take me, because he knew how much i wanted to see it. Because its Vin Diesel! And a baby! where can this go wrong?

And so all three of us saw it and it was fun and giggly and silly and very good! and we got to learn the Peter Panda Dance AND see Vin IN THE SHOWER! and in a towel! with a teddy bear! *squishes Vin and his cuteness*

I am cheerfully sitting on my couch, watching Season 1 of THE DUKES OF HAZZARD!

I have watched "One Arm Bandit" twice already, and havent gotten past it yet, cause its so fun, and ive forgotten how much i loved this show! and i cant believe how much sexual references are here! its fabulous! and Luke and Daisy and Bo snark on each other so much! and Enis! is the oldest virgin in Hazzard County!

i will have to save the squee for another post, cause DAMN this post is long! Sorry!

I will be owning the Duke boys very soon..*rubs hands together* must own Dukes..must! and must icon! *dances*

Things Ive Learned From the Duke Boys

Ok, so, just from the first two episodes of the first season of the Dukes of Hazzard (which, omg watch it watch it watch it), i have learned (or relearned)..

-I can still sing the theme song by heart. i should probably be ashamed, but instead, im dancing and singing.
-Boss Hogg eats raw liver for breakfast
-Uncle Jessie kicks all kinds of ass
-Bo Duke is dumber than a box of rocks
-and yet, is still hot. meep.
-Daisy can take care of herself. i always thought she was useless, but now i see the light.
-Enis is the oldest living virgin in Hazzard County
-Bo is supposed to be 24 years old in S1, so how old is Luke supposed to be?
-I still adore the General Lee
-Bo is way oversexed.
-s1 was filmed half an hour from my mama's hometown
-this show destroys my ability to talk normally. help. brings back my natural born accent with a vengence.
-there are many many shots of Daisy's ass and cleavage. there should really be more shots of Bo and Luke shirtless. and pantless. *mind wanders*
-im still waiting on the Luke/Daisy eye sex. anxiously.

*dances* i so need more Dukes fic. really really.

Bo: You know, Daisy, if you werent my cousin, I'd marry you.
Daisy: Never stopped anyone in this family before!
