Yuletide Reveal!

Massive thanks to roadstergal for writing Happily Never After, which is Into the Woods, and is Jack and Little Red, and is just fantastically written, with Jack being dim and not understanding girls but sweet in a very real way, and Red being quick to anger, quick to misunderstand, and just as quick to forgive. eventually.

AND, massive thanks and giggles to anenko, who kind of gave herself away by TALKING TO ME PREVIOUSLY about the idea she had, but HEY, it's Love Bites, it's Shin and Yankumi and sex gone OH SO VERY WRONG as only sex with Yankumi would go.



As for what I wrote..well..

Hilariously, for the second time in yuletide for me, I got my beloved magelette - extraordinary beta and all around fabulous person! I opened up my yuletide assignment and DOUBLECHECKED THE DATE, just to be sure. And the I laughed. For quite a while.

For Kara, I wrote A Horse and Her Boy, a fic about Kid and Katy and his deep abiding love for her. His horse. The Young Riders is a fandom ive only dabbled in ONCE for last year's yuletide madness, but I love Kid and Ike and Lou and Katy and Teaspoon and everyone, and I just had to try it. :)


I also wrote a treat for anenko, who figured out it was me EASILY, and pretty much for the same reason I knew she wrote Love Bites for me..that, and we were the only ones who requested Smiling Pasta, which is Taiwanese drama about a girl and a boy and a turtle outfit. That is called A Plate of Wonderful Marriage Pasta, and to my complete shock, got comments from FOUR people! I didnt even know anyone else had even seen the show!

I wasn't sure when I read the Smiling Pasta fic if it was you or not but then you were all, "Oh, you commented on one of my fics" and I pondered it seriously and YAY AWESOMELY OBSCURE TWDRAMA FIC~!

I think SP gets overlooked because it's not an idol drama, per se. I find Nicholas Teo beautiful but to be honest I'd never heard of him before SP and as a lazy twdrama watcher I tend to just go for stuff with people I've seen in other things, ie the Fahrenheit boys, Joe Cheng, Ella etc. Cyndi Wang is the big name in SP but my friend tells me she's played annoying characters before and maybe people didn't want to watch SP because they had bad associations with her? I really don't know, it's such an amazing show and I feel sad that more people haven't seen it. Should we mount a pimp campaign? *ponders*

I wrote this (http://yuletidetreasure.org/archive/73/grapefruitgoldfish.html) Coffee Prince fic, after struggling for the entire month and coming this close to writing for the only other fandom I knew from my recipient's requests, the US cop drama Life. Luckily I was able to push this fic out, but Sun Ki is a ridiculously hard character to write and next time I offer a fandom I won't be selecting "characters: all". I'm glad my recipient liked it, but it was quite a challenge.

I havent seen anything else Cyndi Wang has done, but yeah, ive heard she is annoying because she tries too hard to be cute. Im watching Nicholas Teo's new drama right now, and it is...um..weird. lots of talk about boobs. dont get me wrong, im enjoying it, but it doesnt fit most of the twdramas ive seen so far..it's a bit further out.

and yes, Nicholas Teo is GORGEOUS. I love that mans's smile.

ooh! I loved that Coffee Prince fic! It was such a neat look at present and past for Sun Ki! and bonus points for Ha Rim abuse!

I know! I wrote for someone on my flist the first year I did yuletide, but we never really *interacted.* Writing for someone I've fangirled with before was a treat.
