Sweeping and Mopping
Jun. 27th, 2005 09:58 pmCleaned up the flist some, so if you got defriended because i was an idiot, speak now, or wait until i figure it out on my own. which might be a year from now, for all i know. i did clean off some comms and stuff i never check out, and i tried not to defriend anyone i could automatically think of the topic of their last post, as that means i pay attention to them, and they post. but im sure i defriended someone i will miss..so if its you, please let me know.
the flist is currently very into Doctor Who, which i have seen all of one ep of. and while i enjoyed it greatly, i couldnt get the others i downloaded to play. bastages. so im attempting to dl from doctorwho_eps, and that is slow going and slightly annoying. so, if anyone has any laying around they would be willing to send me/upload for me/burn for me, please, feel free.
new job, ReceptionistGirl, is going well. i work in an outpatient drug/alcohol rehab center, so i answer phones, administer breathalyzers, and file. its actually kinda fun for now, but my sister predicts that i will be clawing my own skin off within 6 months. which i might. but right now, im having fun, and its part time, so it gives me extra time to do things like take irish dance classes and be artsy.
Brandus' parents were down in denver all weekend, which meant we spent lots of time with them. *twitch* dont get me wrong, i like them, but when we spend time with them, its an EVERY SECOND SPENT TOGETHER situation.
but hey, there was no dramatics or insane declarations or even more than minor fights this time around. and the fights were about brandus' pants (nope, not kidding), so we are allowed to ignore them.
and THEN, saturday morning, we went downtown to cheer on my sister, Melisa, in the parade. the opening band, The Dearly Beloved, is a group of Melisa's friends, and they were thrilled to be the opening band at Pride. we had a great time, but im sulking, as three years after it was first promised me, i STILL do not have my Token Straight Girl tshirt.
*sniff*
and this was Melisa's last Pride in denver, as she is moving to chicago in less than two months! *flails* and i have to help pack and drive the UHaul!
but it was still a blast, and THEN we went to see Stomp!
it was SO GOOD and we were in the tenth row back so we could see everything! we had so much fun, and it was loud and noisy and hysterically and OMG why have i never seen this before?
also, speaking of artsy things, a cute doggie inspired by-request clock
